Digital Product Policy

Digital Product Policy - Last updated: 4 September 2026

1. Scope

This policy applies to downloadable or online digital products purchased from Spec + Source, including the Packaging Clarity Kit, PDFs, workbooks, guides and editable Canva templates. It forms part of the Website Terms and Conditions.

2. What you receive

The product page describes the content included in your purchase. The Packaging Clarity Kit is a digital resource and no physical item will be posted unless the product page expressly says otherwise. Product imagery may include styled mock-ups for presentation; the written product description identifies the files and access actually supplied.

3. Delivery and access

After successful payment and contract formation, access is normally provided immediately through the website, an order-confirmation email, a download link or a PDF containing the relevant Canva template link. You are responsible for providing a correct email address and checking spam or junk folders.

You will need a suitable device, internet connection and PDF-reading software. Editable Canva resources require access to Canva and are also subject to Canva's own terms. Unless stated otherwise, a free Canva account should be sufficient for the editable template; any Canva Pro-only element will be identified or replaceable.

If access does not arrive or a link fails, email hello@specandsource.co.uk with your order details. We will investigate and, where appropriate, restore access or provide a replacement link.

4. Consumer cancellation rights and immediate delivery

A consumer purchasing digital content at a distance normally has a 14-day cancellation period. If you expressly request immediate supply and acknowledge that your cancellation right will be lost when the download or access begins, the right to cancel is lost once supply begins. If immediate supply has not begun, you may contact us within the applicable cancellation period.

Refund position: A change-of-mind refund will not normally be available after download or access has begun where you gave the required express consent and acknowledgement. This does not affect your rights if the digital content is faulty, misdescribed or cannot be supplied as agreed.

5. Required checkout acknowledgement

Use this unticked checkbox at checkout: I expressly consent to immediate access to the digital content and acknowledge that, once the download or access begins, I lose my 14-day right to cancel. My statutory rights remain unaffected.

Repeat this acknowledgement in the order-confirmation email or other durable contract confirmation. Do not pre-tick the box. If Wix cannot obtain the acknowledgement before access begins, seek platform or legal advice before relying on the loss of the cancellation right.

6. Faulty or misdescribed digital content

Digital content supplied to consumers must be of satisfactory quality, fit for a particular purpose made known and as described, subject to applicable law. If it does not conform, you may have rights to a repair or replacement and, where the issue cannot be resolved within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, an appropriate price reduction or refund. Your statutory rights are not limited by this policy.

7. Refund requests

Contact hello@specandsource.co.uk with your order number and a clear description of the issue. We will consider requests fairly, including duplicate purchases, failed delivery, corrupted files, materially inaccurate descriptions and other circumstances required by law. We may ask for reasonable information or screenshots to diagnose an access or file problem.

8. Licence granted

On full payment, Spec + Source grants the purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the digital product for the purchaser's own personal use or internal use within the single purchasing business.

You may:

  • Download and retain the supplied files for your own permitted use.

  • Edit designated editable fields or Canva pages for your own packaging projects.

  • Print reasonable working copies and share completed project information with your employees, professional advisers and packaging suppliers where necessary for that project.

You may not:

  • Share, forward, publish or distribute the blank product, source files, Canva template link or substantially complete template to another person or business.

  • Resell, sublicense, rent, give away, upload to a shared template library or use the product as the basis of a competing template or digital product.

  • Remove copyright or licence notices, claim authorship, or register any part of the product as your intellectual property.

  • Use the product to provide template-based services to multiple third-party clients unless a separate commercial or multi-client licence has been agreed in writing.

You remain responsible for controlling access within your business. If another legal entity needs to use the product, it should purchase its own licence unless we agree otherwise.

9. Intellectual property

The purchase transfers a licence to use the digital product; it does not transfer ownership of the product, template system, design, copyright, trade marks or other intellectual-property rights. Your own brand information and original content remain yours.

10. Practical guidance, not a guarantee

The products provide general educational and practical packaging guidance. They are not bespoke consultancy and do not guarantee pricing, supplier acceptance, manufacturability, legal or regulatory compliance, sustainability performance, production quality or a particular commercial outcome. Packaging decisions should be confirmed for your particular product, market and supplier.

11. Updates and platform changes

Your purchase includes the version described at the time of sale. Future updates, new editions or additional content are not included unless expressly stated. We may replace a delivery or template link for security or platform reasons without reducing the substantive content purchased. We are not responsible for independent changes to Canva or another third-party platform, but will take reasonable steps to assist where access to the supplied content is affected.

12. Breach of licence

A material breach of this licence may result in termination of your access and a requirement to stop using and delete shared or unauthorised copies. Termination does not affect accrued rights or remedies.
